10 Fall Hair Trends To Inspire Your Next Look

Fall is finally here, which often translates into the beginning of Pumpkin Spice season. For us, fall is all about transition, including giving our hair a refresh after the damage our “fun in the sun” during the summer months may have caused.

Whether it's warming up your hair color, going for a bold cut, playing with accessories, or embracing your natural texture, we're giving you all the inspo you need to try on your own or show your hair stylist at your next appointment.

1. 90s Layers

When we think of the 90s, one word comes to mind-LAYERS. From long, tapered layered cuts to soft, face-framing layers like curtain bangs, layers are a great way to give your hair body and volume-a style that goes well with any fall outfit.

2. CORNROWS

Stitch braids are a major trend right now, but we love a classic, protective style. As seen on Tia Adeola's NYFW runway show this past September, cornrows don't have to be boring.

There are different ways to style them, whether adding length to the ends for a bit of drama or accessorizing with clips or beads; we say protect your strands while showing off a little personality!

3. SLICED BOB

From the likes of Kim K. to Lori Harvey, a short, sleek bob seems to be a favorite among celebs, and for a good reason. This look exudes elegance with a dash of edge and, believe it or not, can be styled in various ways, including stick-straight with a center part, deep side parts, or tousled with texturizer for an effortlessly sexy vibe.

4. SHADOW ROOTS

We get it, not everyone has the time or the patience to maintain their hair color, so this season we're rocking our roots and loving it. To achieve this look in a "No really, this is on purpose" way, ask your colorist for a rooty color at the top; that way, your hair can grow out gradually and evenly.

5. BEACH WAVES

Beach waves for fall? Shocking, we know. But this style is a great way to add a little texture to your look if you have straight hair. The best part is you can achieve this wavy hairstyle without the havoc the sun and ocean water can wreak on your hair-simply use a curling iron to add a few soft curls (don't forget heat protectant spray!), comb through with a wide-tooth comb, spray a bit of texturizing spray and done!

6. CURL LIGHTS

Curly girls, let's have some fun! For the fall, we recommend trying a form of balayage where highlights go from the mid-lengths to the ends. This process helps to add texture and tone to your already beautiful, natural hair.

7. STATEMENT HEADBANDS

Beaded, braided, animal print, ultra-wide, or whatever your preference, headbands are an easy and fun way to elevate your outfit and stand out from the crowd.

8. COPPER COLOR

From balayage to curls, going bright and bold with the color copper is a great way to add a little extra spice and sass to your hair for the season.

9. TAPERED CUT

Whether you're finally ready to make the chop or shake things up a bit, a tapered cut is excellent for all hair types to try, and the best part is its super low-maintenance-a dream for us gals who don't like to deal with the fuss but still like to look put together.

10. SUPER-STRAIGHT SLEEK HAIR

From the runways in Paris, Milan, London, and New York, super-straight, sleek hair has made a comeback but now with even more attitude and shine. Whether you use a flat iron or get a silk press, this low-maintenance style should be easier to maintain now that the weather is cooling down. Bye, bye, frizz!

P.S. We may or may not be launching a product VERY SOON to help you achieve this look. Stay tuned! ;)
